Natasha was an incredibly generous, kind, intelligent, and comedic friend to all. She always managed to make every person, stranger or friend, in a room feel welcomed and at home. Natasha graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and moved to NYC shortly after to pursue her dreams and begin a career in banking. She had finally got the job she always wanted with the number one investment banking firm in the country. About 8 months after entering remission, a scan revealed that Natasha's cancer had traveled to her lungs, and she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Synovial Sarcoma. Natasha was willing to “endure more chemo and horrible side effects,’ to stay alive. While two clinical trials proved favorable in slowing the growth of Natasha's extant tumors, in early 2025 Natasha received news that new tumors had begun to grow. Even though the treatments were prolonging her life for a while, in the last few weeks and days the Synovial Sarcoma was extremely aggressive landing her in the ER and in the hospital multiple times. Throughout all the challenges, in true Natasha fashion, she always smiled and has documented her journey through social media and contributed to and created an online space for chronically ill individuals to speak frankly about their experiences and relate to others around the world. Natasha amassed a massive social media following on TikTok and Instagram being a loud advocate, spreading awareness for Synovial Sarcoma and the realities of living with cancer. After living with synovial sarcoma for 5 years Natasha passed away on Friday August 22, 2025. Natasha was always clear that if cancer cut her life short she would never lose the battle. And she never did- Natasha won the battle time and time again. She built a larger than life community and awareness through her humor and love and left so much for us to continue her legacy in her absence. As a founding member of SFA’s Adolescent and Young Adult Committee and the very first guest on SFA’s Sarcoma Stories podcast, she helped shape how we connect, support, and empower the sarcoma community.
