My name is Terri, @. 60 years old I was soooo looking forward to retirement and living on the brand new family compound . On 11/03/2024 I found what I thought was a tick bite on the backside of my knee,.
Days later has my dermatologist do a biopsy, waited, waited, called, waited, finally 12/18/2024 they told me it was normal! Then out of nowhere on 12/29/2024 they called me and said “Terri, you have a very rare cancer called Angiosarcoma, follow up with Moffit Cancer Center “. I asked them to repeat that, then again! This was a Sunday evening so I had plenty of time to research this new cancer of mine, wow!!!
Moffit got me in 1/12/2025 and began doing their thing! I had PETS, CTS, bloodwork. They decided to do radical surgery 2/12/2025 to remove this tumor in my blood vessel behind my knee once and for all! “1 and done” the surgeon claimed. Sadly it came back in the incision 04/23/2025!!! I am now living in an Airbnb in Tampa, Florida for 37 days as they do daily radiation treatments as well as my weekly chemotherapy treatments! Yesterday I got a call for a plastic surgeon consultation in August! They will be scheduling another surgery as soon as I heal from the radiation… they are trying to decide where to harvest a muscle from to run up the back of my leg… they are doing everything possible to save my leg but I am prepared for them to take it to rid me of this awful disease! My new PET showed a hot spot in my left upper lung and armpit node, please help me pray the chemotherapy takes this away!!! According to my research I am an UNICORN! It appears less than 10 people in the WORLD have ever had An Angiosarcoma show up in a limb as the primary!
So on we go with the unknown! Prayers please!!!
