My Sarcoma Story – Sharon

Hello My Name is Sharon Richardson. I am 61 years old. I first discovered a lump in my upper left thigh in July of 2023 and after several tests. It was determined that I had Sarcoma. I started 25 rounds of radiation in Novemver of 2023 and in February of 2024, I had the tumor surgically removed. While I was recovering from the surgery and going through physical therapy I did a routine CT Scan in July of 2024 and a biopsy in August. My doctor told me that they found another tumor in my abdomen. I have Myoxoid Liposarcoma, and its at Stage 4. Needless to say, I was completely devastated. I have been on Chemo since October 16, 2024 and the treatments are ongoing. I am not a candidate for surgery because the tumor is surrounding my vital organs.
