Thank you for sharing your story with the Sarcoma Foundation of America (SFA). By sharing your story with the SFA, you agree that your story may be published on the SFA website or in other SFA materials, such as social media or the SFA newsletter, Sarcoma Spotlight. In addition, SFA may edit the content of your submission. SFA retains the right not to publish any story, based on its judgment. By submitting your story, photographs, videos, or other content (collectively, “Submission”), you agree to the following terms:
License Grant. You grant SFA a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, fully transferable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, distribute, and display your Submission, in any media or format now known or later developed, including but not limited to the SFA website, social media platforms, the SFA newsletter (Sarcoma Spotlight), print materials, fundraising materials, and other SFA communications and initiatives.
Your Representations. By making a Submission, you represent and warrant that: (a) you are at least 18 years of age; (b) you are the original creator and sole owner of the Submission, or you have obtained all necessary rights, licenses, consents, and permissions to grant the rights described herein; (c) your Submission does not infringe or violate any copyright, trademark, right of publicity, right of privacy, or any other intellectual property or proprietary right of any third party; (d) if your Submission includes photographs, videos, or other depictions of any identifiable individuals other than yourself, you have obtained the written consent of each such individual (or, if a minor, their parent or legal guardian) to include them in your Submission and to grant the rights described herein; and (e) if you are submitting on behalf of another person (such as a family member), you have the authority to make this Submission and grant these rights on their behalf.
No Compensation. You acknowledge that you will not receive any compensation, royalties, or other consideration for your Submission or SFA’s use thereof, and you waive any right to inspect or approve the finished materials in which your Submission may appear.
Indemnification. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SFA, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to any breach of these terms or any claim that your Submission infringes or violates the rights of any third party.
SFA’s Rights. SFA retains the right, in its sole discretion, not to publish any Submission, to remove any previously published Submission at any time without notice, and to edit or modify any Submission for length, clarity, grammar, or content. SFA is under no obligation to use your Submission.
Privacy. All Submissions are subject to our Privacy Policy.
